The 3 main flu clinics for 2017 have been arranged for the following dates.

Saturday 23rd September 9.00am - 12.00 noon  LUNESDALE SURGERY

Tuesday 3rd October         9.30am - 12.00 noon  Kirkby Lonsdale Institute

Friday 13th  October         9.30am - 12.00 noon  Hornby Institute

This year we have ordered the quadrivalent flu vaccine in place of the trivalent.  This gives added protection as it covers both the 2 A strains as well as the 2 B strains, whereas the trivalent used in previous years only covers ONE of the B strains.

Vaccinations are available for all patients who are 65yrs and over, patients who will be 65 before 31st March 2018 or anyone under 65 who falls into one of the "at risk" categories.

Patients with the following conditions fall into "at risk" groups:

Diabetes

Heart Disease

Pregnant women

Patients with reduced immunity
